Puzzlebind makes printable puzzle books, not single puzzles. You supply themed word lists, choose word search, crossword or word scramble, and the app lays out a complete activity book — cover, contents page with real page numbers, puzzle pages and a full answer key — then exports it as one print-ready PDF at A4 or US Letter.
Building a book, previewing every page and exporting the first three pages watermarked are free. A single one-time purchase unlocks unlimited full-book PDF export. There is no subscription and no advertising.
Open Settings → Restore purchases, or the Restore button on the unlock screen. Your purchase is attached to your Apple ID rather than to any Puzzlebind account, so make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with.
This one is important. Your books are encrypted with a key that is generated on the device and never leaves it — that is what keeps them private, and it also means a phone backup cannot carry them across. Use Settings → Backup & restore to create an encrypted backup file before you switch devices, then restore it on the new phone.
We hold no copy of your books and cannot recover them. If you lose the backup passphrase, the backup cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
Crossword entries have to cross an existing word, so a word sharing no letters with any other cannot be placed. The app tells you which words were left out. Adding a couple of words with common letters usually fixes it.
It should not — the generator checks that each word appears exactly once. If one of your words is contained inside another (for example CAT inside CATTLE), the app warns you when you enter the list, because finding the longer word also finds the shorter one.
A4 for most of the world, US Letter for North America. Both are laid out with generous margins so the book can be printed, photocopied and written in.
Entirely. Puzzle generation and PDF layout all happen on your device. The only network access in the app is the store checking whether you have bought the unlock.
