In short
Airtight — published by Gap Found.
Airtight stores your records on your own phone and nowhere else. We hold no copy of them, so there is no account for us to close and no database for us to delete you from. You delete your data yourself, in the app, and it is immediate.
How to delete everything on your phone
- Open Airtight.
- Go to the Backup screen.
- Scroll to “Delete everything on this phone”.
- Tap Delete everything.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete everything permanently.
The app returns to a fresh install. Uninstalling Airtight does the same thing.
What is deleted
Everything the app holds, immediately and permanently:
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your business details, ABN, trade and state | Deleted |
| Workplaces and sites | Deleted |
| Processes, risk assessments and risk control plans | Deleted |
| Worker names, roles and start dates | Deleted |
| Health monitoring records — dates, practitioner, and whether a report was received, was adverse and was given to the worker | Deleted |
| Training records | Deleted |
| Air monitoring results | Deleted |
| Regulator notification records | Deleted |
| The encrypted file holding all of the above, its spare copy, and the encryption key in the device keystore | Deleted |
Because the encryption key is destroyed along with the file, the data cannot be recovered from the device afterwards.
What we hold, and how to have it deleted
We hold none of the records above. The only data associated with you anywhere outside your phone is your subscription, and it contains nothing that identifies you.
| Held by | What | Retention | How to request deletion |
|---|---|---|---|
| RevenueCat (our subscription processor) | An anonymous identifier their software generates, and the fact that a subscription was bought or renewed. No name, no email, no records. | Kept while the subscription is active and for RevenueCat's own retention period afterwards | Email us at gapfound.apps@gmail.com and we will have it deleted within 30 days |
| Apple / Google | Your purchase, as the payment processor | Per their own policies | Through your Apple or Google account — we have no access to it |
To request deletion of the subscription record, email gapfound.apps@gmail.com from any address and say you would like your Airtight subscription data deleted. Because the identifier is anonymous, please include the date and store of purchase so it can be found.
What is kept, and for how long
By us: nothing at all, once the subscription record above is deleted. There is no account, no backup on our side, and no archive.
On your phone, nothing survives the deletion. Any backup file you exported yourself stays wherever you saved it — we cannot see it or delete it, so delete that separately if you no longer want it.
