Deleting your data

Bump In · there is no account to delete

The short version

Bump In has no accounts and no server, so there is nothing held anywhere for you to request the deletion of. Everything is on your phone, and you delete it yourself, immediately, without asking us.

Erase everything, in the app

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll to Data.
  3. Tap Erase all data.

That deletes the encrypted file holding every event, deletes any attached files, and destroys the encryption key in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. Without that key the data could not be read again even if the file were somehow recovered from the disk.

It is immediate and permanent. There is no undo, no trash, and no copy of ours to restore from. If you might want the events later, export an encrypted backup first.

Deleting the app

Deleting Bump In from your phone removes its private storage along with it, which takes the encrypted file with it. The key in the Keychain or Keystore is removed by the operating system when the app is uninstalled.

Backups you exported

An encrypted backup file is yours, wherever you put it — email, a cloud drive, a USB stick. We have no way to reach it, so deleting those copies is up to you. Without the passphrase the file is unreadable, but delete it anyway if you want it gone.

Run sheets you shared

A shared run sheet is a file you sent to someone else. Once it is with them it is theirs, and it cannot be recalled — by you or by us. Ask the recipient to delete their copy if that matters.

Your subscription

The subscription lives with Apple or Google, not with us. Cancel it in your App Store or Play Store account. RevenueCat holds an anonymous random ID and the store receipt against it; email gapfound.apps@gmail.com and we will have that record deleted. It contains no name, no email and nothing from any run sheet.
