Bump In · day-of run sheets for wedding and event suppliers

Get in touch

Email gapfound.apps@gmail.com. One person reads it, usually within a couple of days.

If something went wrong on a job, say which screen and what you expected to happen. Please do not send screenshots containing a client's phone number or a venue's gate code — we do not need them and would rather not have them.

Common questions

Does it work without signal?

Yes, entirely. Every screen works with the network off, because nothing in the app needs the network. Venues have bad reception; that is the normal condition rather than an edge case, and the app is built for it.

Where are my run sheets stored?

On your phone only, encrypted. There is no cloud copy and no account. That is the whole design.

I got a new phone. How do I move my events across?

On the old phone: Settings → Export encrypted backup, choose a passphrase, and send the file to yourself. On the new phone: Settings → Restore from a backup, pick the file, enter the same passphrase.

There is no recovery if you lose the passphrase. Not by us, not by anyone. The file is encrypted with a key derived from it and we never see either. Write it down somewhere real.

I lost my phone and had no backup.

The run sheets are gone, and we cannot recover them, because we never had them. This is the direct cost of a design where nothing is uploaded. Export a backup after you set up a busy season.

How do I share a run sheet with the couple or another supplier?

Open the event → Share run sheet. You choose whether to include your gear list and deliverables — both are off by default, since those are yours rather than theirs. It produces a read-only file you send however you like.

Can they reply on the shared run sheet?

No, deliberately. The shared sheet is a read-only file with no comment box and no messaging. If plans change, send an updated one. Their old copy keeps working, which is what you want when the venue's wifi has gone.

The timeline moved on the day. What do I do?

Edit the event as normal — it saves instantly and offline. Anyone you already sent a run sheet to still has the old copy, so send a new one if it matters.

How do I cancel the subscription?

Through your App Store or Play Store account, not through us — we have no account of yours to cancel. Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Google: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions.

What happens to my events if the subscription lapses?

They stay on your phone, encrypted, exactly where they were. Nothing is deleted for non-payment.

Reporting a security issue

Email gapfound.apps@gmail.com with "security" in the subject. Bump In encrypts everything at rest with AES-256-GCM and has no server, so the interesting surface is the app itself and the backup file format. Findings are welcome and will be answered.
